Superior Vendor Selection and Ranking

Velocity's quality assurance begins with our comprehensive vendor rating process. This real-time process ensures that all vendors are tracked according to ongoing objective criteria, including product conformance, order accuracy and timeliness. Each of our suppliers and their performance metrics are tracked and evaluated for each transaction. In addition, vendors are formally reviewed on a quarterly basis. All vendor rating information is incorporated into our proprietary VMS sourcing software, providing our buying teams with immediate and valuable insight into vendor performance that lets us choose the best suppliers to meet our customers' needs.

Rigorous Material Inspections

Velocity employs a rigorous inspection protocol to screen every component received and shipped through our facilities. The Velocity Inspection Protocol (VIP) includes a four-step check for order accuracy (part number, manufacturer, date code and packaging), a careful quantity check (including a count by hand, machine or scale for any items in previously opened manufacturer's packaging), and a rigorous, 11-point check to exclude damaged, pulled, refurbished or counterfeited components. We digitally photograph all components to record the visual inspection process. Part number, manufacturer and date code information for each component is recorded and affixed in a bar-coded label.
